ENERGY CENTER FITNESS CLUB GROUP EXERCISE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS NEW!! On the Ball- Have fun and gain strength, balance and flexibility working on the stability ball. You will use the ball in all different ways - seated, standing, lying on and under, balancing seated and kneeling. It will balance out your body and empower you! NEW!! Core Conditioning- This 45 minute workout will increase your agility and core strength, trim some of those problem areas and improveyour overall physical confidence. Through the use of floor work, balance poses and the stability ball, this class will increase and integrate the strength in your core to better your quality of life! NEW!! Fit Kids - Ages 2-5yr - Good health habits should be FUN! This fit kids class provides fun, safe and developmentally appropriate activities that help children engage in excercise that will benefit them for years to come. Parents are encouraged to participate, but are not required. Tae-Bo- Instructed by Billy Blanks certified, Maria Flores. This program combines pumped up tunes and energizing moves to motivate you through this intense, 60 minute cardio workout. Tae-Bo Basic - This "Back to Basics" class is for the most experienced Tae-Bo'r to the person who has never even heard of Tae-Bo. Basic technique and form will be the focus. Tae-Bo Challange - You will experience the traditional exhilarating Tae-Bo class with additional challenges to take your strength and endurance to the next level. Yoga - In our Hatha Yoga class, you will learn physical postures or asanas, breathing fundamentals, and techniques to cultivate our ability to observe imbalance. This 60 minute class is designed to accommodate beginner to intermediate levels. Body Sculpt - A great total body shaping workout. This strength training workout utilize hand weights, stability balls, and resistance bands to sculpt, define, and tone the upper and lower body. This low impact workout is great for beginners or those who would like a great compliment to teir aerobic workout routine. Cycling - Rain or Shine! A 45 minute spin class that replicates the feel of road cycling. Music and imagery are used to simulate different bike rides that include hills, sprints, flat terrain, and jumps. Spinning is for everyone, at any age, and any fitness level. It is simple, easy to learn, and a great workout. Low Impact. High Cardio. Intermediate and Advanced level classes. Pilates - A 45 minute class that dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels, and performs. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates improves flexibility, agility, and economy of motion. It can even help alleviate back pain. Beginner to intermediate level. Low Impact! Step n' Strength - A class perfect for the individual on a time crunch. Not the traditional choreographed step class! It is an energetic fun class which combines step aerobics to raise the heart rate and adds strength training to give you an all over workout. This class is for all levels of fitness. Butts and Guts - Need help getting those problem areas toned? This 45 minute class will help you get those problem areas toned up. Class will use hand weights, resistance tubing, and your own body to work your stomach, back, and butt muscles. Each class is 60 minutes and accomodates any fitness level. Pump-Up! - Real results, real fast! Pump UP! is a strength endurance class where muscle and music collide. This dumbell work-out targets all of the major muscle groups of the body. Active Older Adult - Have fun and move to the music in a class using a variety of exercises to get you stronger, increase your range of motion and improve your activities of daily living. Weights, bands, tubes and balls will be used for resistance in this 45 minute class. Intro Classes - A different class to try each week! If you've ever wondered if a class is right for you, worried if you had the stamina to finish or the strength to try, here's your chance to test it out! Every week will be a new format, all only 20-30 minutes long. Modified class versions for the sampling. Watch the group fitness board, the website or call the front desk to see which class sampler will be held each week and sign up! FREE To Everyone - Members AND Non-Members! YOUTH CLASSES: Teen in Training - For ages 13 and up. Is a 60 minute core building body toning class. This strength training workout will utilize all sorts of props and equipment to keep the time flying by while you sculpt, define and tone your entire body. Teen Tae-Bo - Experience the energizing effects of Tae-Bo with classmates your age. Focusing on self-esteem and empowerment! Every teen is welcome into this class, no matter your fitness level! Youth Pilates - This 30 Minute structured class will teach a real awareness and improvement of body alignment and core strength. Ultimately allowing you to excel in sports, dance and life! You will develop long, lean and strong muscles. Ages 10 and up!
